Monday's Try a New Technique challenge at SCS was to make a horizontal pocket card. This is the second one I made, the first one was ugly! I started with a normal card (5-1/2 x 4-1/4) and folded back the front about 1-1/4" to form a flap. I attached the pumpkin prints panel to the olive layer and adhered both under the flap. I then taped the ribbon around, punched two holes using the cropadile, and added the jumbo eyelets to the folded back flap. I adhered the card closed with sticky strip to make a pocket, leaving the horizontal edge "open". I then attached the flower using a dimensional. The pull-out part is a piece of pumpkin paper with a white layer on top, measured so that it fits in the pocket. I stamped Polka Dot partially on the white panel, attached it to the pumpkin layer, attached the olive tab with brads, and added the flower with a dimensional. I markered the friendship stamp from Wonderful Words so that just Friend was inked, and stamped it right on the pumpkin dsp.
