My Christmas Cards

My husband says this card looks like the commercials for Food Network's Season's Eatings, but it's really inspired by a Pier 1 catalog.

Sneak Peek!

I started with a river rock base that measures 5 x 5. I stamped the flower from A Beautiful Thing in soft sky ink on white paper. The centers are stamped in guava and cut out (the 1" circle punch was too big), and the build-a-brad with river rock designer paper went on top. I used the corner rounder to create the guava scallop piece, as well as to round all the corners of my layers and base. I attached the guava scallop piece and soft sky designer prints paper, and tied a river rock knot around it. I attached the top layer to the chocolate piece, and attached the whole thing to my card base. I stamped "Good Times" in versamark on a chocolate scrap and embossed it with white powder and rounded the corners. I tucked it up under the river rock knot, and there you have it!
Thanks for stopping by, may you get everything done this week that you need to and still have time to stamp!

Color Challenge Tuesday
I just got some new stuff yesterday, 2 days early, woohoo UPS! It was my order of preview stuff, and I used one set for my color challenge card today, so here it is:

The color challenge combo for today was rose red, pumpkin pie, and certainly celery. This set is called Mark the Date, and will be available for purchase beginning January 2. I hope they come out with a set that has all the months of the year in a matching font, but for now I used Short Order alphabet. Once again, not a great picture (it's 4 pm here, and almost completely dark out, boo). I stamped the calendar in pumpkin pie ink, and stamped off the dots to fill in the circles. I stamped the letters for March on scrap pieces in their respective colors, cut them out and attached to the calendar piece. I stamped the starburst for the highlighted day in rose red, cut out the circle, added a celery brad, and attached with a tiny piece of dimensional. I stamped the same starburst in rose red on the rose red piece, and then stamped the middle circle in pomegranate. They look like little bugs to me, haha! I taped the white and rose red pieces together and tied an olive ribbon around it. I stamped the Happy Birthday in versamark on a pumpkin scrap and embossed it in white. I punched it out and tucked it under the ribbon to finish it off!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
