I added chocolate brads in the corners, a small coneflower medallion stamped in craft white, chocolate ribbon, a sentiment, and a few more brads to balance out the layout a bit.

Thanks a Bunch
.jpg)
This is kind of random, but I think often about what I wish Stampin' Up! would carry. Here are some of them: 1. textured cardstock in single color packs in both sizes 2. hybrid ink 3. chocolate and white brads (actually, brads in all colors in single color packages so I'm not stuck with whole sections of brilliant blue and green galore!) 4. more punches of any size and shape or that coordinate with existing ones
I would love to hear what's on your wishlist!
Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous weekend!
Supplies:
stamps - Green Thumb and Beautiful Blooms (PTI), sentiment (Penny Black)
paper - ww, black, olive textured (all SU)
ink - Palette Landscape, Moulin Rouge, Orangerie; versamark
acc - white EP, white/black gingham, corner rounder, black brads, mat pack & piercer (all SU)

ink - versamark
acc - white EP, die-cut blooms, mat pack & piercer, circle punches and nesties, dimensionals, olive twill, small corner rounder, rub-ons
This second card was for this week's challenge hosted by Maren. It was kind of tough! It was a Survivor Challenge: you could choose only 1 stamp set, two colors of ink/paper (unlimited neutrals), 1 type of tool, and 1 embellishment. I used A Beautiful Thing, sky and wasabi with black and white, punches, and white ribbon. I SO wanted to use a black brad in the center of the flower, but I stayed true to the challenge and resisted that second embellishment! The window piece is attached with dimensionals, and the flower is popped up on two layers of dimensionals.

Happy Mother's Day!
I started with a Lemon Tart card base, and layered a piece of Summer Sunrise stamped with Canvas on it. I tied an olive ribbon around the card. The branches and leaves were stamped with Landscape palette ink on a white rectangle, and the flowers were stamped in Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise. I cut them out, put a chocolate brad in the centers, and popped them up with dimensionals on the branches. I matted the flower/branch layer on chocolate and attached to the card base with dimensionals. I cut a piece of olive paper, rounded the corners, stamped the words, and added a row of piercing and a small flower. If I had to do it again, I would add another chocolate layer underneath the Canvas-stamped Summer Sunrise.
Have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!

Now on to a few BRAKs: First of all, I had a great birthday. Thanks to everyone for the wishes! My DH's friend from college was visiting over the weekend, so we went to see Ironman. It was GREAT! I already want to see it again, lol. Then Saturday night we had dinner with family and a bunch of friends. My DH and MIL planned it all out, and everyone contributed to the "Send Becky to Utah Fund". It was a surprise, and very fun! My parents contributed a large amount, and my MIL and FIL wrote me an IOU for the remainder of the financial expense of going to convention. I still almost cry when I think about it. Many of you are aware of the medical situation my DH and I dealt with the past couple months, and he and my in-laws decided in the midst of all that I WAS going to convention. Very touching and humbling. Thank you, Moms and Dads! I am very excited to go!!!!
Anyway, this first BRAK is my favoritest:My DH made it!!!! He got up early on my birthday, went downstairs and used my stuff. I went down later and couldn't even tell he'd been down there, lol! I was pretty impressed. This is only the second card he's ever made me, the first one was on our wedding day 6-1/2 years ago. I mean, he cut out the vase, put the flower on the stem, stamped words on it (pretty straight too!) and embellished it. Isn't it beautiful? Thanks, babe! I love it!

Well, thanks for sticking around, I have more BRAKs, swap cards, and some exciting news coming up for you this week!

Swap Card

I started with a wasabi base and sponged and distressed the edges. I cut a bayou strip and sponged the edges, then crumpled it up, flattened it out slightly, and stamped the canvas background on it randomly. I cut a strip from Jersey Shore dsp, crumpled it up and smoothed it out slightly. I attached both these strips to the base. I tied one sky ribbon around the card front, adding a HPH ribbon slider. I stamped the sentiment in pumpkin, punched it out with the word window punch, and sponged it. I punched a hole in the end of the tab, threaded some crochet thread through and knotted it to form a loop. I then put the end of the sky ribbon through the loop and then tied a second knot in the sky ribbon. Are you confused yet? I stamped the crocodile/alligator and bird on a white piece and distressed the edges. I attached it to a wasabi piece that was sponged and distressed. I added a photo holder thingy in the corner, attached it to the card using dimensionals, and put two dots of CE on the croc/gator's eyes. For the finishing touch, I opened the card up, making sure the scallop punch was centered over the fold and the sides, and punched out a bite!
Thanks for stopping by!
