Stamp Something Friday

Today's Stamp Something Challenge was Faux Anything. So I chose faux metal. It's about the only technique I do, I am NOT a technique junkie! Be sure to check out what the rest of the team made, and post yours when you play! There are prizes each week, woohoo!

I layered some strips of dsp on a white textured card base (4 x 4 is the finished size), added some brads and ribbon and a sentiment. For the faux metal flower, I just dumped a pile of silver embossing powder on a piece of white scrap paper and heated it from UNDERNEATH (very important, lol!). While it was still hot, I immediately stamped the flower in it. Since I got it on the first try (yay!), all I had to do was cut it out carefully to avoid cracking the massive pile of melted metal, add a rhinestone brad in the center, and layer it on a wasabi circle with a dimensional. If you try this technique, and you don't succeed on the first try, just remelt your metal and try again! Also, you will not ruin your stamps doing faux metal.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Supplies:
stamps - Fundamental Phrases, A Beautiful Thing
paper - white textured, wasabi, bashful blue, wasabi and pretty in pink dsp (from hostess pack, level 1)
ink - wasabi
acc - silver brads, bashful taffeta, silver EP, 1-1/2" circle punch, dimensional, fire rhinestone brad
