Copic Ciaos for sale

I have found I like the Sketch markers better than the Ciaos, so I would like to switch over to all Sketch. But first I need to find good homes for these almost brand-new Ciaos. I am asking $3 each, plus actual shipping, which I will figure out individually. I accept money orders or Paypal.
Please leave a comment here if you are interested, and then email me at:
becky(at)lakeshorestamper(dot)com. First come, first served. Thanks for looking!

Here's what I have left:

Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

While some of us are busy pouring gravy all over our turkey and mashed potatoes, I know there are an equal number of people out there who are pouring over the Black Friday sales ads! I can hear them shouting "Bring on the sales!". They must have been listening over at Limelight, because not only do they have some awesome sales scheduled for Black Friday, they also have a challenge focusing on all things black! How easy is that?! Anything black will do, although, I recommend the Black Magic cardstock, black licorice Pixee Stix glitter, or black fun flock! If you don't have anything from Limelight, go ahead and play along anyways!

Sketch and Product Challenge using black for Black Friday:
Uploads to SCS should have the keyword: LLPC009
If you participate, post a comment and a link to your card on Mandy's blog, all entries must be submitted by Sunday, November 30th, at midnight for a chance to win a Limelight Papercrafts Gift Certificate. Here's the sketch:

Here is my second sample, yes second because the first time I completely ignored the "black" part of the challenge, oops!
And here is the offending first sample, lol:
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team has done!

Thanks for stopping by, tomorrow is Stamp Something Friday!

I think all the Pink Cat Studio stamps are just adorable, and I now own *several* of them thanks to Limelight Papercrafts! Mandy carries most if not all of the PCS line, so head over there and check them out! I added angel wings shimmerz to Lily's "fur", and it makes her earmuffs look really dark though they are the same color as the rest of her trim. I love shimmerz, it's so easy to use and looks great! I Love Apples

I just love apples, whether it's eating them, smelling them, stamping them, whatever, apples are just so fun!
This sketch is someone else's, I can't remember who's off the top of my head. I got the new Nestabilities Labels One and Two awhile ago, and I'm still trying to come up with ways to use them. I love them, but am having a hard time using them for some reason! Oh well.

Thanks for all your anniversary wishes, we had a pretty low-key day. Enjoy your Thanksgiving week! Here is what I am thankful for today: I am thankful that my husband is seemingly on the mend, and that our little boy is also very healthy. I would love to hear your thankful thoughts!

Two Hip Hop Cards

Two Hip Hop cards for you again this week. This first one was for a "snow" challenge:

And this one was for a challenge to make a square card:

Our anniversary is tomorrow (7 years), so we went out to dinner last night. We decided to splurge because of the year we had, so we went to Lola. It was amazing! Best meal I EVER had! I had heard of Lola when Michael Symon was on the Iron Chef America contest, and they were in the paper again a few weeks ago. My mother-in-law brought it up at dinner that I would like to go there, and my husband just looked up and said "I already made reservations." I was floored and SO excited! Here is what we ate: beef cheek peirogi for appetizer, he had duck and I had squab for entrees, and our sides were Lola fries and wild mushrooms. For dessert we had warm apple crisp with caramel ice cream. Delicious! Even the take home boxes were really cool!
And our wonderful friends babysat for us. Thank you, guys!
Thanks for stopping by, don't call me, I'll be watching the Ohio St./Michigan game. Go Bucks!

Baby Cards

So you would think living here my whole life I would learn to not believe the weatherman. It barely snowed and the roads were completely clear, so we weren't stuck in the house all day. It was fun to read your comments about snow! This was actually our second storm of the season. All of our snow is lake effect snow until the lake freezes over. Something about cold air passing over (relatively) warm water, and we get dumped on quite frequently. Bet you didn't think you'd be getting a science lesson now did you?

Anyway, my mom needed some baby cards for a shower, so this is what I whipped up for her. The first card is VERY similar to a card in a recent SS, and the second one is a much-used and favorite layout of mine. These cards are also all Stampin' Up! except for the button. And I actually didn't use kraft as a base for both, lol!

This is a picture of my husband and his siblings the weekend of the spaghetti dinner. His six week follow up appointment is Thursday, and if everything looks good he should not have to wear his neck brace anymore. He did take it off for the pic, but normally he only takes it off to shower. It's almost strange for me to see him in this pic without it, but I won't be sad to see it go. Adam calls it "dada's booboo". In case you can't tell who has the straightest neck, Chad is second from the left.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments!

Sketch Cards

Morning, girls! Here are 3 of the 5 Verve sketch cards I managed to get done on Saturday, in plenty of time to enter for the big giveaway. Alas, I didn't win, but I still bought a couple of the new releases!

This last one is my least favorite, I think I picked hard colors to work with. But I had to make it work, so this is what I ended up with.

Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions about supplies, please don't hesitate to ask!

Two Christmas Cards

Phew! Last week was so much busier and crazier than usual, I didn't stamp until Saturday! I managed to get 5 Verve sketches done, and I'll be sharing those later this week. Anyway, last week we had 2 dr. appts. downtown (which always takes a whole morning or afternoon), my hubby had a birthday (which I spent a whole afternoon cooking for), and I worked a few afternoons for my fabulously talented friend Diana. Things will be slowing down this week, I think!

We are 4 weeks post-op, and hubby is doing quite well. In two weeks he gets to take off the neck brace for good.

These two cards were my other contribution to the auction gift basket last week. I really like how they turned out!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your week is off to a great start!

Six Chicks Ornament Spectacular

Starting today and continuing on the 6th of every month, the Limelight Six Chicks
will be posting different themed projects. Today's is an ornament with either
packaging or a card. I chose to do packaging with my 3-D ornament.
For the ornament, I cut out (with my stars Sizzix die) 8 stars from different patterns of Wassail dp. I then glued them back to back and stuck a ribbon tail with a pearl bead out the bottom before I glued the last two stars together. I punched a hole in the top, strung some gold cord through and tied a bow on it.

To make the box, I took a 4-inch square mug box that I got at my local party store. It came flat, so I didn't have to disassemble it to do my alterations. While the box was flat, I cut off the top and bottom with a craft knife and used them as my base and lid. I then threw away the middle and used transparencies as a substitute for the middle of the box. This way you can make it as tall or short as fits your need. I added more Wassail around the top and bottom for a nice border. I put tissue paper in the bottom to give it a finished look. Here's a closer view of the ornament:

Here is the decorated top of the box:

And here is how the ornament hangs from the lid: I took a paper clip and made a little hook.

So when you open the lid, the ornament comes up too.

Thanks for stopping by, check out what the other Chicks have made!

Shout Out!

Stamping friends are so wonderful, and last week several of mine jumped at the chance to donate some of their wonderful creations for the chinese auction at our spaghetti dinner. I put the email out to them on Saturday, and by Thursday this is what I had received:
(Sorry about the horrible pics, as usual I was running behind. Please excuse the Homer Santa and Rescue Heroes in the background.)

Thank you so much, my friends! You filled 8 baskets, woohoo! And each winner was thrilled and made comments to me about how gorgeous everything was. The whole dinner was a MUCH bigger success than we had anticipated, and we are overjoyed, overwhelmed, and extremely grateful.
Basket contributors:
Danielle Lounds (she sent me a ginormous box of 50+ cards and most of the 3D items you see, unbelievable!)
Thanks again my friends!
