Limelight Watermelon

I told you I love watermelon! This one was created with a rub-on on two colors of cardstock. I rubbed-on the rind of the watermelon on wasabi paper and cut it out. I rubbed-on the rest of the watermelon on coral paper and cut it out also. I then attached both pieces to a white circle and layered it on a celery scallop circle. I dry embossed a row of dots on a coral strip with my crop-a-dile (I used the top part of an order form to get the row straight - try it!)
I attached a blue strip and my embossed coral strip to a wasabi base, added buttons, foam stickers I found in the Target $1 spot, and a ribbon before attaching the watermelon circle with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by! My counter went past 50,000 this weekend, so I'm rustling up some blog candy - stay tuned!!!

Supplies:
paper - wasabi, bashful blue, celery, coral, ww

Inspired by Nature

I just had to break out this set after seeing the beautiful cards my friends Lisa and Kristin were making with it! My mojo is missing, so I did what I always when this happens: go back to super simple old favorite layouts, or case the catalog. In this instance, I went back to an old layout that is sooooo simple and easy. I used sponges to ink the flower in pink pirouette, then sponged on some riding hood red and chocolate ink. I colored the stem with the olive marker, and popped up the whole main image layers with dimensionals. I hope my mojo returns soon, I got some swaps to be working on!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
stamps - Inspired By Nature, Fresh Cuts
paper - pink piro, RH red, ww
ink - pink piro, RH red, chocolate, olive marker

Stamp Something Friday

The Stamp Something Challenge for today was to create something "Summer". Well, what I love most about summer is: and:

For the bbq card, I stamped the bbq in memento tuxedo ink and colored it with copics. The mitt was white embossed on riding hood red cs and cut out.

The watermelon card is actually quite small, it's the largest circle nestie folded in half, and I used other circle nesties for the white and pink parts. The seed is actually a leaf.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: (bbq card) stamps - Backyard Barbecue, Simple Alphabet (PTI), Canvas paper - riding hood red, only orange, green galore, pacific point, baja breeze, ww ink - Tuxedo (Memento), riding hood red, versamark acc - jumbo eyelets, copics, 3/4" circle punch, foam stickers (Target $1 spot), dimensionals

(watermelon card) stamps - Beautiful Blooms (PTI) paper - wasabi, ww, pink passion ink - black acc - circle nesties

Sister

I originally made this card for the Clean and Simple blog, but it's too pretty not to share here too!

I used strips of celery and sky dsp as well as a strip of kraft paper with a whole row of brads. Each strip was mounted on the white card base, I tied a chocolate taffeta ribbon around it and added some piercing at the top. I stamped the sentiment from Always on white with chocolate ink, and then added some stamped off flowers from the same set. SISTER is stamped with PTI's Simple Alphabet set.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you are having a great week!

Supplies:
stamps - Always, Simple Alphabet
paper - ww, kraft, sky and celery dsp
ink - chocolate, sky, celery
acc - key tag punch, mat pack & piercer, chocolate taffeta, vintage brads

The beach balls are Duplicate stickers that I punched out to make them small enough to fit on the white strip. I added some sunflower pearl glitter to the beach balls for some sparkle. The sentiment is a Basic Grey rubon.

The rings are more Duplicates stickers . I added some stickles to the diamonds for sparkle, though you can't really tell from the pics.

CASE-ing Lisa

Just had a little scare, I haven't been able to view my blog the last two days, and it was starting to freak me out! But thankfully it fixed itself, so I am good to go. Phew!

I'm back from convention, had a great time, more on that later! Here is a card I made that is a total case of this one by my friend Lisa, who I got to meet and hang around with at convention.
Anyway, convention was fabulous! The best part was meeting some of my online friends in real life. We had a great time hanging out, eating together, touring the SU home office (it's beautiful!), and stamping together. I'll be sharing pictures throughout the next few days/weeks. Sending a shout out to my wonderful roommate, Danielle! We had fun staying up late talking, looking at swaps, getting stuck in an elevator that wouldn't close because so many people were in it, swapping, trying to find our friends, in the monstrous crowds, etc. Such fun! She gave me a cute little person pen to put on my bag to make it stand out, and some chocolate covered mini Oreos. Yeah, no pictures because they are almost gone, lol! Thanks, Danielle!

Here is what was waiting on our lunch tables the first day:
Yes, that's real edible chocolate medallions on the cupcakes! And here is a picture of my Great Swaps Girls, it was awesome to meet them!

Thanks for stopping by and enduring my long post!
Supplies:
stamps - It's Your Birthday
paper - bayou, ww, sky, wasabi, pomegranate
ink - bayou

Hi There!

I sent this card off to a good friend of mine who I hope to meet IRL someday! She is so sweet and nice! Hope it made your day happy, Jackie!
I ran the card base through my Cuttlebug with an scalloped oval nestie (with the tan embossing mat) to get the raised edges. I used a coordinating regular oval nestie as a mask and sponged lemon tart ink on the inside. Stamped the branch in landscape, the owl in burnt umber, and the sentiment in summer sunrise, then tied a summer sunrise knot around the card to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
stamps - Bird Greetings (Hero Arts)
paper - ww
ink - (all palette) lemon tart, summer sunrise, landscape, burnt umber
acc - summer sunrise gg, nesties
