30th Man Birthday

We went to a surprise 30th birthday party for a man friend of ours a few weeks ago, and this was the card I took:
It was inspired by who else but KWerner ---> HERE .

Phew. I am still alive, but have not stamped since Monday, eeek! I hope to get some time in this weekend, I have much to do. I spent this week Christmas shopping, Christmas decorating, Christmas errands, and then my mom and I spent an afternoon feeding the freezer. We cooked 17 meals to put in the freezer to allow us to have more time for family around the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hubby and I are celebrating our 8th anniversary today, but we celebrated last night with dinner and a movie. I still have to make his card. Sigh, guess I'll be turning in that wife of the year award.

Friends With Flair Friday

It's been weeks since I've been able to participate in FWF, so I'm really happy to be able to this week!
This is my interpretation of Mercy's Tuesday sketch for this week. The sentiment that you can barely read says, wherever you go, go with all your heart. I added CE to the seat for some plastic-y shine.

This sketch is my interpretation of Taylor's sketch for this past week. Well, really I was going off my memory of the sketch, so it's not quite right, oh well! I added Worn Lipstick Distress Stickles to the frosting for sprinkles, yum!

To see all the participants in FWF, check out Angela's blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Make Merry!

This is a card we made in Cincinnati at the SU demo thingy, but I changed the base color. It was originally celery, but I didn't have enough celery cardstock to make it for my Christmas card class, so we used bashful blue. And the ribbon flag is really red, my photo editing turns it almost black.
Thanks for stopping by!

stamps - Berry Christmas
paper - white, suede, bashful
ink - celery, suede, red
acc - red gg

A Memorial For Henry

This week has been a very sad one as Pink Cat Studio DT member Sarah Anderson’s 3 year old son Henry passed away. Little Henry was unable to overcome a virus that made him ill last week.

Lorie Ames has organized a way to donate for a memorial for Henry. Henry loved his local zoo and visited it almost every day in the summer. As a memorial, trees will be planted there in his honor. Melissa at Pink Cat Studio has created a digital stamp to help raise funds for a tree for Henry. All proceeds from the sale of the digi stamp, minus Paypal costs, will go towards the tree. If you would like to donate towards the tree, please visit this webpage to purchase the digi stamp:
Another way to donate to the memorial is to print out this form and mail in your donation directly:
Please write on the form that the donation is for Sarah Anderson’s son Henry. Once all of the money is collected, a tree and location will be selected. If you have questions about the form please contact Lorie Ames. Lorie will be in contact with Sarah along this memorial journey to ensure that her wishes are followed. To contact Lorie, please visit her blog at

If you don’t know Sarah and would like to learn more about her, please visit her blog:

Thank you for your help to raise money for a tree for Henry.

Patterned Tree

Hi all! Here's a card that we will be making at my Christmas card class this weekend. Pretty straightforward, but I did use a blender pen to add some color to the poinsettias on the tree. I'm hoping my desire to stamp and the mojo will be back in force this week. Have a good one, thanks for stopping by!

paper - kraft, razzleberry, pale plum, white
ink - black, olive, razzleberry, versamark
acc - button, blender pen

Who Doesn't?

This card is a little smaller than normal, dictated by the size of scrap I had, lol! It's 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". And you can't go wrong with pinks/browns and ice cream!

I stamped the ice cream cone from Sweet Chocolate (My Cute Stamps) in memento ink and colored it with copics. I rounded two of the corners and adhered it on my base. I adhered the parenthesis on and then white-embossed the sentiment on chocolate paper and adhered it. A little button cherry tops it off.
Thanks for stopping by!
stamps - Sweet Chocolate
paper - close to cocoa, white, chocolate, Bittersweet (BG)
ink - memento, copics, versamark
acc - white ep, corner rounder, button

TV Inspired

I'm still here, friends! My desire to create has been non-existent this week, unfortunately. But I did get two cards made, I'll show you the other one tomorrow.
This card was inspired by a commercial on TV, but I can't remember what it was for! So here's a quick Christmas card:
Thanks for stopping by!

stamps - Teeny Tiny Wishes (I think?)
paper - white, avocado, olive, kiwi, spring moss, regal rose
ink - black
acc - red gg, 1" circle punch, button, photo corner punch

Congratulations is not only the title of this card, it's a pat on the back to me! All my Verve-sketching paid off and I won a stamp set at the release party last night, wooooohooooo! Now to pick one, hmmmm. Tough choice!

Anyway, this card actually turned out mostly how I envisioned it, love when that happens. I stamped the branches from Ashley's Blossoms (My Cute Stamps) in black on a lemon tart card base, stamped the birdcage in black on vellum, cut it out and adhered it over a kiwi circle to highlight the bird that is clear embossed. A few rhinestones and some piercing with one of my new templates adds finishing details. I struggled for a bit as to where the sentiment would go, then hit upon curving it over the top. Yessssss!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! We are headed off to a clam bake tonight, yum!
paper - lemon tart, kiwi kiss, vellum, real red
ink - black, ripe avocado, pure poppy
acc - doodling template, rhinestones, circle punch
