**Warning** - if you are prone to crying, you may want to grab a tissue now *cough, Jackie, cough*.
The oncologist told Chad today that he is in total remission, yeehaw! He has had no cancer activity for months, but this is the first time anyone has used the "r" word. I had no idea that hearing it would hit me like it did, I almost cried talking to my SIL. It was just over a year ago that he got the diagnosis, and on one hand it seems like a lifetime ago, a very bad lifetime ago. On the other hand, I can't believe it's been a year, I thought time was just dragging. I am very happy to have all that behind us, though there is a 50% chance it will reoccur in the future. But we will deal with that if and when it happens. Though the doctors were surprised that it was contained for as big as it was when it was discovered. So we move forward and onward. Chad is feeling GREAT, he's been back at work since before Christmas, he is even able to play golf again, which was our main goal, lol!!! I am very happy about that. And he is like his old un-depressed self that he was before. That was one of the hardest parts, the depression. Sucks all your energy even if you aren't the depressed one.
Anyway, just wanted to share my joy with you that have been such a support this past year! Thank you for your encouragement to me!

Hi Becky. . .I'm so happy for you, your family, and especially your DH! Wow, that must have been such a joy to hear the "r" word. It's sort of like a huge burden off your husband and your shoulders. I really am glad that it is behind you and you can now look forward to the future.

Wonderful News, Becky!! I'm sooo happy for you and Chad and your family. Especially glad about the Golf - it wouldn't be a full recovery if he couldn't do something he loved. Way to go and here's to keeping it that way!!
