There is a lot of popping up going on here, the green layer, ice cream bowl, and cherry are all on dimensionals. I added stickles to the sprinkles again, and there is CE on the cherry.

TSG Sneak Peek Day 3

Today's peeks are of the seven mini sets that will be released! Yes, seven! During one of the TSG Friday night chats, I asked Jessica to design a build-an-ice-cream-cone set, and she was actually working on one right that minute! Woohoo! And I get to peek it for you! Can you tell I'm excited? LOL!

This card is 3x6 to accomodate the 4 scoops. The cherry is liquid pearls, and I added some star dust stickles on the sprinkles. I will definitely be using this set more very soon.

TSG Sneak Peek Day 2

Today's peek is from the set called Side by Side. I stamped this image in memento on kraft, and colored it in with copics. That flower on the bottom was not going to be there originally, but it was colored, cut out, and popped up to hide where my green copic gakked right at the end of my coloring, ack! I added orange rhinestones to the flower centers and a green one to the ribbon. I punched the edge of the sentiment strip with my curvy label punch for something different.

USGDC, Take Two

Here is my second entry for the Unity guest designer challenge. I took my two patterned papers and wove them to create a background. The candy is colored, covered with sparkle, cut out, and attached on the white circle. The color of the Thickers is much closer to a color in the paper than this pic shows.
I took a nice 35 minute jog last night, and it was still hot and humid! We finally hit the 90's. I usually run up at the Y, but I didn't get there yesterday so my neighborhood did the trick. Our summer has been unusually cool - in fact, we didn't get the boy's little pool out until last week! Crazy crazy.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
stamps - July KOM (Unity)
paper - perfect plum, white, basic grey
ink - memento, copics
acc - piercer, circle punch, sakura glitter pen, thickers, lavender moon ribbon, raspberry fizz button, dimensionals

Monday, August 10, 2009

Hey, Girl!

It's time for another Unity Guest Designer Challenge, and here is my first entry:
I LOVE how this turned out! The challenge parameters were to use 1 stamp, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. Do you know how hard it is to use only 1 stamp? Especially when you want to put a sentiment on. My embellishments are a button, dew drops, and a rubon (way to get around the sentiment problem, huh?!!) I added a scalloped edge on the right to tie-in the blue sentiment tab. The card is 4-1/4 x 4-1/2.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
stamps - July KOM (Unity)
paper - soft suede, bashful blue, jillibean soup, cosmo cricket
ink - black
acc - dew drops, word window punch, rubon, raspberry fizz button, scallop edge punch, dimensionals

There She Goes Times Two

Here are the two TSG cards I promised you. I really like the first one, and the second one kind of took on a life of it's own.

I cased this layout from another SU Stampin Success magazine. I happened to see scraps of these three colors together as I was cleaning up a bit and thought they looked cool together, and it came out like I pictured! Love when that happens! The cupcake bottom was colored with copics. I don't own a color that matches razzleberry, so I came up with my own combo: I put down a layer of V09 and added a layer of RV19 right on top. I think it came out pretty close to razzleberry. I used Star Dust stickles and a Hero Arts rhinestone for the frosting and cherry.
This layout is from Verve. I stamped the butterfly in memento ink, colored it with copics, cut it out, popped it up, and covered it with shimmerz. I don't particularly like this card, but there you go, for all my customers that think I never make anything bad, lol!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
{happy birthday}
paper - melon mambo, bermuda bay, white
ink - melon mambo, bermuda bay, rich razzleberry, memento, copics

{Dream}

ink - memento, copics

Pink Cat Studio Sneak Peeks Day 2

Today you get to see the doggie and owl from Fairy Friends! I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks of the rest of the set!
I paper pieced the doggie and added shimmerz to his wings, collar, and bone wand. He is cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I used a gold sakura gel pen on the stars around the sentiment. The layout is from the front of the recent SU Stampin Success magazine. I was in the mood for something different, and this layout fit the bill. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

This layout was inspired by a card in the current or soon-to-be current SU Holiday Mini catalog. The kraft layer is popped up. This owlie has shimmery wings, and I stamped the star trail twice, once in blue bayou, and once in white right on top. Then I added some shimmerz to that as well. Gives it a lot of dimension!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll join me as I check out what the other girls have made with this cute set!

Mr. Penguin Cutie Pie was colored with copics, and I covered his wings with shimmerz, and his beak, feet, head, and wing with crystal effects.

Kraft Butterflies

Can you believe it's August already? What happened to July?
My camera died, so I am using my MIL's for now, and boy is it hard to get used to doing things a different way! I liked my routine, had it all figured out, and then was scrambling around on Friday night to get a decent picture for the hop yesterday. I had scanned my card, but boy did it look HORRIBLE!!! MIL saved the day, but I am now using Picasa to edit, and it's just different than my Kodak software. So bear with me while I get everything figured out!
I've had the idea that I wanted to stamp black butterflies on kraft, and it finally came to fruition. I added purple to the bodies with a copic marker, and added white gel pen highlights too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
stamps - Spread Your Wings, Branching Out
paper - plum pudding, black, kraft
ink - black, copics, white gel pen, fresh snow
acc - new leaf ribbon, dimensionals
