Countdown to World Cardmaking Day!

So I'm doing my own little countdown to World Cardmaking Day by sharing cards made with stamps in my "arsenal" from several of my favorite companies. Up today is MFT and Verve. This is actually my first MFT card! I bought this adorable set months ago and finally used it this week, yay! You can't really tell, but the bunny's tail is fluffi-fied with liquid applique I zapped with my heat tool.

And this cute little pieced balloon from Verve just makes me smile!
My mojo was flowing yesterday, I ended up making EIGHT cards!!!! I found sketches I liked and went from there. The MFT card uses a sketch from SFYTT, and the Verve card I'm not sure where the sketch came from.
Alrighty, I'll be back Friday and Saturday with more cards! If you want to know what's in the cards, shoot me an email.

Just Stuff

World Cardmaking Day is this Saturday, October 3. I hope you will join in the festivities! I will be helping Limelight Papercrafts celebrate with a fun game and giveaway. I sat down today and decided that in honor of the big day, I would make a card using stamps from my favorite companies. I made SIX cards today, and I hope to get at least 3 more made. You will be seeing them soon. I don't think I'll save them all for Saturday, that would be a big post!

I also put some stamps up for sale on SCS, take a look if you like Unity:
Unity stamps for sale

I love Unity, but I have SO MANY that just haven't even seen ink yet, I think I just like to collect stuff. I know I'm not the only one, lol!

Toodles!

Apple Thanks

Another SU-only class card. I added punched out circles of two sizes for extra texture and fun! This is a 3x6 card.

In a Rut

Ever feel like your cards all start to look the same? I get like that occasionally, so here's my break-out-of-the-rut card. It was inspired by a sample in the SU Stampin' Success, which unfortunately I won't be receiving after this month. I like how it turned out!
I used images from You're Tweet, and the sentiment is from Jelly Beans (My Cute Stamps), with only a portion of the sentiment inked up. And below you can see the dimension on the card and the distressed edge. That's for you, Jackie.

Have a great weekend!

stamps - You're Tweet, Jelly Beans
paper - baja, choc, kiwi, kraft, white, pirouette
ink - baja, choc, kiwi, versamark

Something New and Exciting is Coming to Pink Cat Studio!

There's something new and exciting coming to PCS! Hmm, I wonder why Itty Bitty Betty is dancing and doing cartwheels?? Looks like something big is going to happen on Tuesday! Of course there is a contest: if you post this blinkie on your blog you'll be entered into a draw to win some cool prizes. I can't tell you what the prizes are because Betty would be upset at me for giving her secret away. But I can tell you that there will be 5 winners.

Here are the contest details: To be eligible to win you will need to post the above animated blinkie on the side bar of your blog and leave it there until the contest ends. Then please leave a comment on this post stating that you added the blinkie and also include a link to your blog. If you don't have a blog you can still enter the contest. Just leave a comment there and say that you would like to enter the contest even though you don't have a blog. Click here to read the instructions on how to add the blinkie to your blog. This contest will end on September 21st at 5 pm EST and the winners will be announced on this blog on September 22nd. The winners will be randomly chosen from everyone who enters the contest.

PTI Swatchbook

I saw Nichole's color play flip book a few months ago, and finally got around to making one of my own. I love it! It's so easy to see how certain colors look with each other now, rather than scrounging around for scraps to compare!
Here's the cover:
Side view (all the pretty colors!):

Page 1: I punched out 3/4" circles and labeled them
with the corresponding Copic matches:

And one of the hundreds/thousands of possible color combos:
Isn't it pretty? I just love all these colors!
Now, I sent one to my friends Lisa and Jackie, so go see how they decorated theirs!

For $10 (US), this is what your bound book includes:

- a fingerprint-resistant clear acetate cover
- 3 sheets of white cardstock (all blank, one for you to personalize as a cover)
- all of PTI's perfect match cardstock, plus soft stone
- a kraft back cover
- free shipping
I am happy to ship international, too!

Any questions or want to order? Email me: becky@lakeshorestamper.com and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.
