I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.  We did, nice and low-key.  Things have been a little crazy around here - I'm getting ready to do a craft fair on Saturday.
My first one, and I just hope I sell SOME stuff!

Anyway, wanted to pop in and show you my card for MFT WSC #16:
The balloon on the stamp is not a full image, so after I stamped it once, I turned the stamp upside down and stamped it again so the lines met.  Papers are Echo Park Playground.

One more thing - my sister has opened her own etsy shop!  She makes the cutest bags/purses.  I have my very own and I LOVE it!  I hope you'll take a second to go check it out!  Her store is Bella Bag Designs, you can find it here: BellaBagDesigns.

Thanks for stopping by!

This month's SFYTT is sponsored by Unity, so I pulled out this cute lollipop and pieced it.  You can find all the details for this sketch HERE.  Thanks for stopping by!

Here's this week's MFT sketch, #15.  It was perfect for my cute little polar bears!
I've really been making an effort to use up some of my patterned paper lately, and all these prints are from an American Crafts christmas collection from several years ago. To make the "snow", I punched three rows of scallops, adhered them, and then worked the mounds until the layers separated.

MIM - Masking With Dies

This week's PTI Make It Monday challenge was to use your dies to make a mask.
I made a double mask to create the focal point here.
I initially got this set, Sending You, for the frame image, but now that I've played a bit with it, I really like the whole thing!  You can find all the details for this challenge ---> HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!  Oh, and my card for last week's MIM got the Tuesday PTI shoutout of the day ~ kinda cool!

Here's my entry for MFT WSC 14.  I had a hard time with the collection of papers I wanted to use, but in the end I just used three patterns and it worked better.

Hope you are having a good weekend!  It's a bit warmer here, but still very gray.  I can't wait for sunshine on a consistent basis!

This week's Make It Monday Challenge was to use heat embossing.  I embossed the large sentiment three times for a background, the cupcake wrapper is embossed, as is the frosting.  While the frosting was still hot, I used one of the sprinkles stamps to make an impression which I filled with stickles for some sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by!  All the details for this challenge can be found on Nichole's blog.

MFT Guest Designer Challenge

I admit, I groaned a little when I saw the theme for this month's MFT guest designer contest: Shabby Chic.   SOOOOO not my style!  I started thinking about what I could do, and since my MFT collection isn't very big I hoped I had something that would lend itself to this style.  It took me over 2 hours to make this as I really had no end product in mind when I started.
My first thought was to make a distressed background, so I repeatedly stamped the words, distressed the edges, crumpled it, and sponged the edges.  It kind of grew from there, and this is what resulted.  It's okay, but I don't plan on doing shabby chic again anytime soon, lol!  ALL the edges of EVERYTHING are sponged with crumb cake ink, including the cake.

MFT WSC #13!

Happy April Fool's Day! Mother Nature played a cruel joke the other day
by dumping two more inches of snow on us. Not funny!

I'm 13 for 13 with the MFT sketches!  Here's this week's:
You will notice (Lisa) that I sewed on this one! First time. It's not too straight and I think I need to adjust the tension just a teensy bit, but this won't be the last time you see stitching!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
