I admit, I groaned a little when I saw the theme for this month's MFT guest designer contest: Shabby Chic. SOOOOO not my style! I started thinking about what I could do, and since my MFT collection isn't very big I hoped I had something that would lend itself to this style. It took me over 2 hours to make this as I really had no end product in mind when I started.
My first thought was to make a distressed background, so I repeatedly stamped the words, distressed the edges, crumpled it, and sponged the edges. It kind of grew from there, and this is what resulted. It's okay, but I don't plan on doing shabby chic again anytime soon, lol! ALL the edges of EVERYTHING are sponged with crumb cake ink, including the cake. Thanks for stopping by!
