Here's another entry I made for the June MFT Guest Designer Contest. Here's the sketch we had to work with:
So I created a happy little scene with my die-namics
and LOTS of different colors of cardstock!
The pot is made using punches, the clouds mimic the two background strips in the sketch, and the pot of gold represents the flower element. I used the sunshine die-namic to show the shining gold in the pot, I sprayed it with Mister Huey and added some sugar dust, as you can see here:
I also used the rainbow die to make an impressed background - ran it through my machine with the embossing mat instead of cutting plates.
And of course I had to do up the inside a bit too. I used some of my leftover rainbow strips, hmmm, this idea is going to be a cool front-of-the-card idea soon :)
Thanks for stopping by!
stamps - Being Cute Is What I Do PI
paper- kraft, hawaiian shores, aqua mist, rustic white, berry sorbet, melon berry, lucky limeade, royal velvet, winter wisteria, harvest gold, basic gray, spring moss
There is some ink distressing on all the edges of all panels. I stamped the music background, crumpled the panel, distressed the edges, and smoothed it out again. It adds some really fun texture! The card base has a linen impression as well. The sentiment is actually two pieces, and I curved them to fit the oval. And yes, I had to practice that before I stamped the final piece!
Jen's blog has all the details, as well as our guest designer for the month.
