Whole Lotta Love

This week's Clearly Whimsy card uses the love word die cut from three colors and backed on strips of the same three colors, but switched around. The sentiment was put together by selectively inking words from Thanks a Million and Happy Everything.  The bright pink heart is from Get Well Soon.

It's time for SYSC #9!

This challenge is themed:

Easy peasy! I always need birthday cards for my stash, so this was a great challenge.

I started by stamping the sentiment in yellow ink on my yellow base.  The "HAPPY" is from

Happy Everything, and the "birthday" is from Birthday Balloon.  I then stamped balloons (Happy Everything) in three colors of blue on scrap paper and cut them out.  I arranged them on my base where I wanted them, then stamped the tails (Happy Everything).  I then adhered the balloons in place.  I created the banner by cutting a strip of white cs, notching the ends.  I stamped the sentiment (Happy Everything) and stitches (Basic Backgrounds & Borders), and then folded around the sentiment and adhered it to the card front.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll play along!  Details can be found on the SYSC blog.

All stamps from Clearly Whimsy.

MFT Color Challnge

This MFT Color Challnge was cherry crisp, kraft, sno cone, and nightshift blue. So I made a scrappy little card, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I embossed the scallop stencil on the circle, but you can't tell in the picture.

Hope you are staying warm where you are, it was almost 20 below last night, and I'm enjoying extra stampy time due to two days off school in a row! Now off to make soup for dinner.

I pulled out these pretty papers to use on this week's sketch.

Squeaking this week's sketch in close to the wire this week.  It's so cold here I didn't want to go to the basement and stamp!  It was -6 when I got up this morning, so I have a space heater blasting on high on my feet so I could get this made.

I did some inlaid die cutting and used my new fave color blueberry again :)

Hey, Hot Stuff

For my Whimsy card this week, I made a valentine's card.  I started by stamping my favorite stripes (from Basic Backgrounds and Borders) in bright pink on a lighter pink base.  I used Get Well Soon and stamped the heartbeat lines on a white panel and added a heart in bright pink (popped up). The sentiment was stamped on a pink strip and adhered to the panel. I put some rhinestones on, matted it on a pink panel, and adhered it to the base.

MFT WSC #213

The card base is grout gray on rustic white.  Patterned paper is by Pebbles, and is called On the Front Porch (I think).  I used Precious Polaroids, Gerbera Daisy, and Fishtail Flag Stax dies from MFT. Sentiments are from Whimsical Wishes.
