Retro Thank You

I pulled out my Frantic Stamper dies once again for this card.  I used the linked hexagon border (FRA-DIE-09831), and I cut it from four colors of cardstock so I could mix and match the inside pieces.  I love how it turned out!  I assembled it on a strip of kraft cardstock and added a very thin strip of black cardstock across the bottom.  The thank you is Accessory Words #3  (FRA-DIE-09467).

I'm so happy it's Spring Break, it means I get lots of stamping time!  This week's sketch uses Mini Modern Blooms and the sentiment is from Donuts and Sprinkles.

FS Birthday Wishes

I had this piece of paper that I had watercolored stripes on previously, and one half of it was used to make a card that you will see during the next Frantic Stamper release.  So I used its sibling for this card!  I cut a diagonal strip out of it so I could put the "birthday" inside the two pieces (FRA-DIE-09776).  I stamped a finishing sentiment on it, tied a triple bow around it, and embellished with sequins.  A really quick birthday card, especially since the hard part was done!

I got to spend some quality time in my stamp room today (hooray for Spring Break!), so I pulled out this adorable little guy and colored him up.
Here's what I used: Sketched Elephants, Basic Backgrounds and Borders, and Handstitched Rectangles. All available from Whimsy Stamps.

Frantic Stamper Mid-March Release

Frantic Stamper has another batch of cute dies releasing today, and it's a spring theme called In My Garden!
Visit the FS blog for more inspiration!
I made a bouquet of crocuses (Mix 'n Match Crocus - FRA-DIE-09823) and the sentiment "Spring" (FRA-DIE-09803).  I also used one of the Stitched Circles (FRA-DIE-09637).  I used Copics on the crocuses and tied a yellow ribbon around the stems.

Whimsy March Release, Day 5!

Today's the day!  Head on over to Whimsy Stamps to buy everything you saw this week!  Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate the time you took to leave comments.

Today's card shows Handlettered Encouragement again.
If you hang around here long enough, you'll figure out that I like to stamp wreaths!  I used one of the sprays from this set and stamped it repeatedly around a penciled-in guide circle. I cut out the word "hope" and then selectively inked the rest of the sentiment so the stick of the p wouldn't cover up any letters.
I added a ribbon/button treatment.
The strip on the bottom was stamped in a plaid pattern using one of the strips from Get In Line.

There is more inspiration over at the Whimsy blog.
So, what are you buying after everything you've seen this week?

We are introducing Hedgehugs today.
I stamped, colored, and cut out this adorable little fella and made a little scene for him.  I cut two Handstitched Rectangles and framed the white one inside the kraft one.  I stamped some flowers along the bottom and the hearts leading up to the sentiment.  I colored the hearts with copics and added some glaze to them.  I stamped, colored, and cut out a cutie-patootie birdie to go with my scene.

Whimsy Stamps March Release, Day 1!

Welcome to the debut release of Whimsy Stamps newest artist/illustrator Nina-Marie Trapani! Nina-Marie has created 4 new clear stamp sets and 2 new Shapeology crafting dies to complement the stamp sets. Each day this week our design team and special guests will be sharing the new products and then on Friday, March 11th customers will be able to purchase them from the Whimsy Stamps Shop.

Up first is Sketched Elephants and it's coordinating dies.  What a cutie-patootie this guy is!
I die cut the heart from text patterned paper, and paper pieced the elephant.  Another strip of patterned paper and a sentiment strip make this a pretty quick and easy card, especially if coloring is not your strong point.  I added three dimensional dots at the end.
Thanks for stopping by, head over to the Whimsy Blog for all the info!

Our designers and special guests will be showcasing one of the new stamp sets and dies each day and will be sharing the endless possibilities available with these new products. Be sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps blog each morning to see a peek at the creations with links to the designers blogs. We will have chances to win prizes all week long as well! We hope you will join in Monday, March 7th through Friday, March 11th for all the new release festivities!

Frantic Stamper March 1st Release

Frantic Stamper is releasing several new dies today, so I am showing you what I made with a few of them.

This first card uses the Hexagon Border (FRA-DIE-09831)
I cut several of the borders out of four different colors of cardstock, being careful not to let all the inside cuts come apart from the border.  I randomly poked out some of the cuts, leaving some areas filled in.  Then I arranged and adhered them on a black panel, which I adhered to a black base.  I cut the sentiment from white, leaving the holes filled in in the happy (Mixed Font Happy Birthday (FRA-DIE-09776) .

I used the Hexagon Border again on my second card, this time leaving all the pieces inside their holes.  It's cut from gold glitter cardstock - so pretty!  Another new die is the stitched hexagon (FRA-DIE-09830) - it's part of a whole set of them.
I started with a white base that I watercolored some light blue for a background.  After it was dry, I put down a piece of patterned paper with navy houndstooth on it.  The glitter border was next.  For my focus, I cut a Scribble Rose (FRA-DIE-09741), once from peach cardstock, and one from lime green.  I used my copic markers to add some color to the flower and leaves.  I then cut the leaves off the peach flower and adhered it on top of the green flower/leaf.  I glued the flower to the stitched hexagon, along with the sentiment from Accessory Words #3 (FRA-DIE-09467).  I popped up the hexagon panel on my card front and added some dots.
