Whimsy December Release, Day 2

Welcome back to another day of the Whimsy Stamps December release!  All new products will be available for sale on December 7.

Today I am showing Holiday Headlines, a really cute all-occasion set:

I made this with it:
I stamped the ornament (tone on tone) on a green panel and adhered it to a plaid panel.  I stamped the sentimenet in black on a white banner, colored the holly, and added a dark green tail.  I popped up that whole thing on my card and added some raspberry sequins last.

Here is what I made:
I cut, stamped and colored the bowl of chocolates and put it aside while I made the rest of the card.  I used Get In Line to create the background on a purple base. I layered a  piece Doodled Doily die with a fishtail flag and Bold Banners dies.  I topped if off with the heart die cut from Crazy For Chocolate.  I stamped the sentiment, adhered all my pieces to a white panel, popped up the bowl of chocolates, and popped up the whole white panel on my base.  I added some diamond stickles on the heart and the chocolates.

Let It Snow

It's that time of year around here already, when the snow starts to fly.  We've only had some spitting so far, but no accumulation.  So it's fitting that this week for my Whimsy card I made a snowflake card:

I stamped snowflakes from Snow Flurry in different blues and purples on a white panel, then trimmed it to fit on part of a teal base.  I white-embossed the sentiment on the teal base, then popped up the snowflake panel on it after I tied a bow around the top.  Lastly, I added some clear confetti sequins to some of the snowflake centers.

Whimsy Stamps November Release, Day 1

Thanks for joining us for the Whimsy Stamps November release!  All stamps and dies peeked this week will be available for purchase on November 7.

It's a smaller release this month, so I only have one thing to show you today.  This stamp set is called Happy Headlines, and the sentiments are a nice medium to large size.

I pulled out Pretty Big Flowers to go along with it:

I stamped the flowers in a circle to make a wreath using many of the flowers, pieces, and outlines in Pretty Big Flowers.  I stamped the sentiment right on top, added a twine bow, and popped up the focal panel on a kraft base.

Birthday Banner

The gray, rainy fall weather has finally arrived, which means my picture is not so great today.  I started by stamping a stitched line (In Stitches), then adding banners.  I stamped the Happy (Happy Everything) and added the die cut birthday (Shaker Builder Sweetest Birthday).  I created the speech bubble, added some sequins, and popped up the focal panel on a pink card base.
Thanks for stopping by, come again soon as the November release kicks off this week!

Hilarious. Just Hilarious.

Hello, I finally got a chance to use the last set I didn't use for the October Whimsy release.  It's called Grumpy Holidays.

Lol, look at this poor guy!
I white-embossed Grumpy on charcoal cardstock, and layered him up with a wonky patterned panel on a white card base.  I stamped the sentiment on more patterned paper before adding some Christmas Cheer enamel dots.

MFT Rainbow Challenge

I made this card for World Cardmaking Day, which was yesterday.  This is for the MFT Rainbow Challenge.  I die cut a bunch of candles from Interactive Cake Die set in rainbow colors for the focal point,  I used the Happy Birthday Frame to draw in the focus.  I added a strip of gray using the Horizontal Stitched Strips and used a partial sentiment from Twice the Wishes.
I added some Wink of Stella to the flames, which turned them white instead of clear sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by.

Whimsy Stamps October Release Day!

Hello!  New products from the October release are now available at Whimsy Stamps.  Happy shopping!

I used Angel Blessing for this card.  I stamped her twice, once on white and once on patterned paper, and cut her out.  I colored her up and put wink of stella on her wings.
I cut two rectangles, one from white and one from patterned paper, and layered them up on a white base.  Next, I white-embossed the sentiment on more patterned paper, and adhered it and the angel to the card.

Whimsy October Release Day 4

Welcome to day 4 of the Whimsy Stamps October release!  Everything new will be available for purchase on October 7.

I didn't get my package until a few days ago, so I'm jumping in late.  Today I am showing a sneak peek of a set called Peace, Love, and Joy.  I also used Snow Flurries, which was peeked a few days ago:

I stamped a script background and then added Snow Flurries in two color of blue ink and the long branch from Peace, Love, and Joy in green.  I white-embossed the dove, banner with sentiment, and short branch on colored cardstock and cut them out.  I adhered all my pieces on the panel, stamped the Peace, then adhered the whole panel to a purple base.  I added some sequins last.

Thinking About You

I finally had some time to stamp today, so I made my weekly Whimsy Stamps card:

I created the plaid part of the background on a white panel using Get In Line and three different colors of green ink.  I cut out the coffee cup (Coffee Cup die set) and assembled it.  I stamped the sentiment (Coffee Break), tied a string around the panel, and adhered it to a green base.  I popped up the coffee cup, added some steam and some jewels.

Thankful for You

Happy Saturday, hope you are having a great weekend!

I made this card this week (all supplies Whimsy):

I cut out a white panel using Hand-stitched Rectangles dies, and then stamped the bigger circles (Polka Dot Fun) in pattern and let it dry for a minute.  I went back and stamped the smaller circles in the same colors on top of the bigger circles.  I die cut Thankful and did some masking and piecing with the rest of the sentiment using From a Friend.  I tied some white thread around the panel and popped up the whole thing on a white card base.

Whimsy September Release, Day 4

We're back for day four of the Whimsy Stamps September release.  Today we have sneak peeks for Abstract Christmas, Oh What Fun stamps and dies, and Winter Wonderland word dies.

I used Abstract Christmas to make this card:

I black-embossed the tree on watercolor paper and used my zig clean color brushes to color it.  I added wink of stella on top of the color, and that made it shiny and opaque.  I added some clear sequins to some of the larger circles.  I layered it up on a black panel with the sentiment white-embossed along the edge, and put the whole thing on a white card base that I cut down by about a half inch.

Next I used Oh What Fun to make this:

I stamped the tree three times on a white rectangle, colored them with copics, and added enamel dots as the ornaments.  I stamped a green card base with stripes from Get In Line, then twirled some twine on it and popped up the tree layer over that.

Whimsy Stamps September Release, Day 3

Welcome back to day three of the Whimsy Stamps September release!  All new products will be available to purchase on Tuesday, September 7.

Today we are showing Christmas Memories and Christmas Branch dies:

Here is what I made using Christmas Memories:

I took a piece of acetate and rubbed some crushed olive distress ink on it, spritzed with water, then laid a piece of watercolor paper on it to pick up the ink.  Once it was dry, I stamped the tree on it using peeled paint distress ink.  The sentiment is stamped in black, and I added some strips of cardstock along the bottom and a gold mini poinsettia. Working backwards, I layered up the card by putting the olive panel on a kraft base first, then the main panel on top last.

Whimsy Thanks

Hello, friends!

I made this Thanks card for my Whimsy post this week:

I started by stamping and fussy-cutting the flower (Pretty Big Flowers), then positioned it on a white panel to see where I would stamp the leaves and sprigs.  After I had the greenery stamped, I added the sentiment and some random dots, also from Pretty Big Flowers. Next,I
stamped a mint green strip with Vintage Backgrounds, then mounted it on the white panel.
I added the twine bow, then used a big pop dot to adhere the flower. After I adhered the white panel to a kraft base, I added some copic shading and shimmer to the flower.
