MFT Rainbow Challenge

I made this card for World Cardmaking Day, which was yesterday.  This is for the MFT Rainbow Challenge.  I die cut a bunch of candles from Interactive Cake Die set in rainbow colors for the focal point,  I used the Happy Birthday Frame to draw in the focus.  I added a strip of gray using the Horizontal Stitched Strips and used a partial sentiment from Twice the Wishes.
I added some Wink of Stella to the flames, which turned them white instead of clear sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by.

Whimsy Stamps October Release Day!

Hello!  New products from the October release are now available at Whimsy Stamps.  Happy shopping!

I used Angel Blessing for this card.  I stamped her twice, once on white and once on patterned paper, and cut her out.  I colored her up and put wink of stella on her wings.
I cut two rectangles, one from white and one from patterned paper, and layered them up on a white base.  Next, I white-embossed the sentiment on more patterned paper, and adhered it and the angel to the card.

Whimsy October Release Day 4

Welcome to day 4 of the Whimsy Stamps October release!  Everything new will be available for purchase on October 7.

I didn't get my package until a few days ago, so I'm jumping in late.  Today I am showing a sneak peek of a set called Peace, Love, and Joy.  I also used Snow Flurries, which was peeked a few days ago:

I stamped a script background and then added Snow Flurries in two color of blue ink and the long branch from Peace, Love, and Joy in green.  I white-embossed the dove, banner with sentiment, and short branch on colored cardstock and cut them out.  I adhered all my pieces on the panel, stamped the Peace, then adhered the whole panel to a purple base.  I added some sequins last.

Thinking About You

I finally had some time to stamp today, so I made my weekly Whimsy Stamps card:

I created the plaid part of the background on a white panel using Get In Line and three different colors of green ink.  I cut out the coffee cup (Coffee Cup die set) and assembled it.  I stamped the sentiment (Coffee Break), tied a string around the panel, and adhered it to a green base.  I popped up the coffee cup, added some steam and some jewels.

Thankful for You

Happy Saturday, hope you are having a great weekend!

I made this card this week (all supplies Whimsy):

I cut out a white panel using Hand-stitched Rectangles dies, and then stamped the bigger circles (Polka Dot Fun) in pattern and let it dry for a minute.  I went back and stamped the smaller circles in the same colors on top of the bigger circles.  I die cut Thankful and did some masking and piecing with the rest of the sentiment using From a Friend.  I tied some white thread around the panel and popped up the whole thing on a white card base.

Whimsy September Release, Day 4

We're back for day four of the Whimsy Stamps September release.  Today we have sneak peeks for Abstract Christmas, Oh What Fun stamps and dies, and Winter Wonderland word dies.

I used Abstract Christmas to make this card:

I black-embossed the tree on watercolor paper and used my zig clean color brushes to color it.  I added wink of stella on top of the color, and that made it shiny and opaque.  I added some clear sequins to some of the larger circles.  I layered it up on a black panel with the sentiment white-embossed along the edge, and put the whole thing on a white card base that I cut down by about a half inch.

Next I used Oh What Fun to make this:

I stamped the tree three times on a white rectangle, colored them with copics, and added enamel dots as the ornaments.  I stamped a green card base with stripes from Get In Line, then twirled some twine on it and popped up the tree layer over that.

Welcome back to day three of the Whimsy Stamps September release!  All new products will be available to purchase on Tuesday, September 7.

Today we are showing Christmas Memories and Christmas Branch dies:

Here is what I made using Christmas Memories:

I took a piece of acetate and rubbed some crushed olive distress ink on it, spritzed with water, then laid a piece of watercolor paper on it to pick up the ink.  Once it was dry, I stamped the tree on it using peeled paint distress ink.  The sentiment is stamped in black, and I added some strips of cardstock along the bottom and a gold mini poinsettia. Working backwards, I layered up the card by putting the olive panel on a kraft base first, then the main panel on top last.

Whimsy Thanks

Hello, friends!

I made this Thanks card for my Whimsy post this week:

I started by stamping and fussy-cutting the flower (Pretty Big Flowers), then positioned it on a white panel to see where I would stamp the leaves and sprigs.  After I had the greenery stamped, I added the sentiment and some random dots, also from Pretty Big Flowers. Next,I
stamped a mint green strip with Vintage Backgrounds, then mounted it on the white panel.
I added the twine bow, then used a big pop dot to adhere the flower. After I adhered the white panel to a kraft base, I added some copic shading and shimmer to the flower.

Whimsy So Thankful

For this week's Whimsy card, I made this sweet little butterfly thank you card.

I started by using the Butterfly stencil and inking the butterflies twice on a piece of watercolor paper (even though I didn't end up using any water).  I then stamped some bigger detailed butterflies on top (Flight of the Butterflies), along with the chicken wire (Lovely Lavender).  I adhered a strip of patterned paper down the right side of the main panel.  I cut the banner from Many Thanks Cardbuilder die set and stamping the sentiment on it (Autumn Blessings).  I added a few rhinestones, and adhered the banner on the card along with some silver cording.

Whimsy Friend

Hi there!  For my Whimsy card this week, I used Hand Lettered Encouragement.  I inked up the sprigs with Distress Inks, sprayed the stamp lightly with water, then stamped it on watercolor paper twice each time I inked it.  I adhered the sprig panel to a kraft base.  I used the same technique as the sprigs on "friend", cut it out, and popped it up on the main panel.  I white embossed the rest of the sentiment on matching cardstock, adhered the strips, and then used a few Summer Breeze enamel dots to finish the card.

Whimsy Release, Day 3

Welcome to the last day of the Whimsy Stamps February release.  I hope you've enjoyed the look at the new products!  Shop HERE and hit the blog for all the details HERE.

I am showing you Typography today.
I arranged the letters on three blocks, stamped the words and embossed in black first.  Then I went back and stamped and white embossed the rest of the background.  I blended on one color of Distress Ink (festive berries) for an hombre look.  I went over the hearts and the black embossing with spectrum glitter marker, and I noticed that it produced a shadow effect on the words.  Cool!  I trimmed the panel and adhered it on a white card base that I stamped with Get In Line.  Some random sequins finish it off.

Today I am showing you Purrfect Pals.  Isn't this little guy so sweet?
I stamped the kitty on a white base and colored it with copics, and then stamped it again just on the edge of a patterned strip.  I cut out the part that stamped on the patterned strip, and adhered it so it matched up with the colored kitty on the white base.  It looks like he's crouching on a rug.  I then stamped the sentiment, curving it on my block, then stamped a few paw prints along the edge of the patterned strip.

Whimsy Love

I can't stop playing with this Floating Hearts background and my new stash of Distress Inks! For this one, I white embossed the background first.  I then added some distress ink in three pinks on some acetate, added water, and put the embossed panel right on the acetate. It turned out pretty cool! After it dried, I added a sentiment from Hand-lettered Thoughts on a Bold Banner die cut. I cut the scripty love a few times, stacked them up, then added spectrum clear glitter marker on top.

Whimsy January Release, Last Day

Today's the last day of the January Whimsy Stamps release, I hope you've enjoyed all the inspiration we've shown you!

My last card features Happy Sayings die set and Happy Sayings and In Stitches stamp sets:
I cut a panel of rustic white cardstock a  separate Happy frame.  I then used the Happy frame die to cut out the niche where the frame would sit.  I stamped the panel with In Stitches around the outside and the opening.  I stamped "everything" in blue ink on the Happy frame and attached it to the panel from the back.  I stamped and cut some flowers from Autumn Blessings (stamps and dies) in colors that matched my patterned paper and adhered them to my main panel.  I used Winter Wishes enamel dots from Whimsy on my flower centers. The entire main panel is popped up on a card base with patterned paper on it.

Thanks for stopping by! Head over to the Whimsy Blog and Facebook Group for all the activities!
