Whimsy Love

I can't stop playing with this Floating Hearts background and my new stash of Distress Inks! For this one, I white embossed the background first.  I then added some distress ink in three pinks on some acetate, added water, and put the embossed panel right on the acetate. It turned out pretty cool! After it dried, I added a sentiment from Hand-lettered Thoughts on a Bold Banner die cut. I cut the scripty love a few times, stacked them up, then added spectrum clear glitter marker on top.

Whimsy Birthday Wishes

I've got a pretty simple almost-one-later card for you today, using Whimsy Stamps. I started by stamping the hexagon background repeatedly on a card base. I added the lavender and butterflies (Lovely Lavender), and then added the strips with the sentiment from the same set.  I finished the card by adding some sequins and some clear shimmer on the butterflies and plants. This sketch was perfect for the limited amount of time I had to create it. This was the first time I got to use the freebie HUGS, and it was so simple because of how the die is designed. One of my loveys will get this for Valentine's Day! Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy January Release, Last Day

Today's the last day of the January Whimsy Stamps release, I hope you've enjoyed all the inspiration we've shown you!
My last card features Happy Sayings die set and Happy Sayings and In Stitches stamp sets:
I cut a panel of rustic white cardstock a  separate Happy frame.  I then used the Happy frame die to cut out the niche where the frame would sit.  I stamped the panel with In Stitches around the outside and the opening.  I stamped "everything" in blue ink on the Happy frame and attached it to the panel from the back.  I stamped and cut some flowers from Autumn Blessings (stamps and dies) in colors that matched my patterned paper and adhered them to my main panel.  I used Winter Wishes enamel dots from Whimsy on my flower centers. The entire main panel is popped up on a card base with patterned paper on it.

Welcome back!  It's day 2 of the January release for Whimsy Stamps.  All new products are now available for purchase, go HERE to shop!

Today I am showing you what I made with Flight of the Butterflies:
I stamped 5 butterflies in a peach ink, then used a blender pen and some darker orange ink to create the watercolor effect on them.  They are also covered with Spectrum Clear Sparkle marker.  I layered a piece of polka dot paper on a white card base, then cut a gray piece with Hand-Stitched Rectangles and added the sentiment.  I adhered the butterflies to it, as well as some sequins, then used pop dots to adhere it to the front of the card.

Here is where you can see all the new releases, plus info on joining the party!

I made the background using distress inks in a rainbow pattern, and added several of the die cut honeycombs.  I adhered that panel to a white card base, and then white embossed the You Are on black cardstock.  I tied a triple bow on the end of it, and used pop dots to adhere it to my rainbow panel.  I stamped the amazing on pink cardstock and also adhered it using pop dots.

Here is the Pen and Ink Palace - Desk Maid.  It is a sturdy caddy that sits right on your desktop, and each "drawer" has a finger hole you use to pull it out.  I used my to store some accessories, embellishments, adhesive, paper swatches, mini ink cubes,
and some random pens.

I was also sent the Die Namic Die Storage
This is a sturdy plastic envelope for storing dies.

Inside the main holder are five tabbed pockets inside a sleeve.

Here you can see the five rows on each pocket, and the dies slip right in.
I've got most of my Whimsy dies now stored in these pockets, and it's nice that the whole system is self-contained, so if a die manages to slip out, it will stay inside the sleeve.
For some of my super small dies, I did cut a magnetic strip about 3/4" wide to stick them on before I put them on their row.  I have a pocket for word dies, a pocket for critters, a pocket for edgers, etc.  I'm very happy with this system, and grateful to Totally Tiffany for sending them to me!

Whimsy Love

For my Whimsy card this week, I used the Floating Hearts background and really tried to showcase it. I used two pink distress inks directly on the stamp, spritzed it with water, and put my paper gently to it. I got some really good blendy spots! I trimmed it after it dried, and adhered it to the right side of a card base.  I finished it with an embossed love from Hand Lettered Thoughts, some sequins, and a brush of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on some random hearts.

Love You So Much

Happy New Year!  Now that Christmas is over, it's on to the next holiday. I started this card by clear embossing Floating Hearts background onto watercolor paper, then rubbing on two pink distress inks. I then sprayed the panel with water to blend the inks and let it dry overnight. I then ironed off the clear embossing for a smooth panel. I trimmed it down to fit on a white base. I cut the LOVE from Cardbuilders Hearts of Love three times and stacked them up. I cut the heart from the same set and tied it to the LOVE with silver cording. I attached both, and added the rest of the sentiment from Hand Lettered Thoughts.
