Thinking About You

I finally had some time to stamp today, so I made my weekly Whimsy Stamps card:

I created the plaid part of the background on a white panel using Get In Line and three different colors of green ink.  I cut out the coffee cup (Coffee Cup die set) and assembled it.  I stamped the sentiment (Coffee Break), tied a string around the panel, and adhered it to a green base.  I popped up the coffee cup, added some steam and some jewels.

Thankful for You

Happy Saturday, hope you are having a great weekend!

I made this card this week (all supplies Whimsy):

I cut out a white panel using Hand-stitched Rectangles dies, and then stamped the bigger circles (Polka Dot Fun) in pattern and let it dry for a minute.  I went back and stamped the smaller circles in the same colors on top of the bigger circles.  I die cut Thankful and did some masking and piecing with the rest of the sentiment using From a Friend.  I tied some white thread around the panel and popped up the whole thing on a white card base.

Whimsy September Release, Day 4

We're back for day four of the Whimsy Stamps September release.  Today we have sneak peeks for Abstract Christmas, Oh What Fun stamps and dies, and Winter Wonderland word dies.

I used Abstract Christmas to make this card:

I black-embossed the tree on watercolor paper and used my zig clean color brushes to color it.  I added wink of stella on top of the color, and that made it shiny and opaque.  I added some clear sequins to some of the larger circles.  I layered it up on a black panel with the sentiment white-embossed along the edge, and put the whole thing on a white card base that I cut down by about a half inch.

Next I used Oh What Fun to make this:

I stamped the tree three times on a white rectangle, colored them with copics, and added enamel dots as the ornaments.  I stamped a green card base with stripes from Get In Line, then twirled some twine on it and popped up the tree layer over that.

Whimsy Stamps September Release, Day 3

Welcome back to day three of the Whimsy Stamps September release!  All new products will be available to purchase on Tuesday, September 7.

Today we are showing Christmas Memories and Christmas Branch dies:

Here is what I made using Christmas Memories:

I took a piece of acetate and rubbed some crushed olive distress ink on it, spritzed with water, then laid a piece of watercolor paper on it to pick up the ink.  Once it was dry, I stamped the tree on it using peeled paint distress ink.  The sentiment is stamped in black, and I added some strips of cardstock along the bottom and a gold mini poinsettia. Working backwards, I layered up the card by putting the olive panel on a kraft base first, then the main panel on top last.

Whimsy September Release, Day 2

We're back for day two of the Whimsy Stamps September release.  Today we are showing Falling Leaves, Steps to Serenity, and Gratitude word dies.

All new products will be available for purchase on September 7th.

Here is what I made using Steps to Serenity:

I cut two tags, one plum and one white, and gold-embossed the tree on the white tag.  I stamped Attitude of on it as well.  I die cut Gratitude from pink glitter cardstock and adhered it on the tags.  I layered up the two tags, added an orange bow, and popped up the layered tags on a white card base.  Lastly, I added some rainbow sparkles.

Whimsy Stamps September Release, Day 1

Hello, all!  I took the summer off from posting, but I'm back now starting with the Whimsy Stamps September release.

We will be sharing sneak peeks for the next seven days, and all the new products will be available for purchase in the Whimsy store on September 7th.

Today we are showing   Caution Dog Slobber (and dies) Caution Wagging Tail (and dies).

Here is what I made with Caution Dog Slobber and its matching dies:

I started by stamping the doggie and cutting him out with his matching die.  I used copics to color him.  I stamped the bones on a turquoise piece and added some shading with copics.  Then I stamped some paw prints on the background, and added the turquoise layer on top of it.  I added a strip of red cardstock on the bottom, the sentiment strip, the doggie, and the caution signs.  Next, I stamped the "For My Friend" and popped up the main panel on a matching card base.  Lastly, I added Crystal Effects to doggie's eyes and slobber drops.
