Love You

I made this "Love You" card for my Whimsy Stamps card this week.

I die cut the large heart from Sketched Elephants dies and stamped it with the dot strip from Polka Dot Fun. I cut "Love" from Cardbuilder - Hearts of Love, and then covered it with versamark and clear embossed it twice.  This is a technique I saw Jennifer McGuire use, and it gives you a darker, glossy look. The "Love" and the pink rectangle (Handstitched Rectangles) in the back are actually the same cardstock, but clear embossing the word made it darker.  Cool!  I started assembling my layers, adhering the heart to the rectangle layer, then adding my words (the script you is Brush Script Lower Alphabet dies) and tying a twine bow around it before popping up all the layers on a kraft base.

Here is my card:
I used my TH stamp platform for my background to keep everything lined up.  I stamped it once, then moved my panel over 1/4 inch and stamped again to get the quilted diamond look.  I filled in some of the spaces with a star from Shine Bright.  I added a light blue panel and adhered my background piece on a blueberry card base.  Then I added silver and gray stars, some twine, and a sentiment, also from Shine Bright.

Whimsy Stamps January Release, Day 4

Here we are at day 4 of the January Whimsy release!  All new products are already available for purchase HERE.

Today I am showing you Fadoodles Too, a really cute border-making type stamp set.

I used it in conjunction with this month's CAS set, Shamrock Swirl.

I stamped the checkered border corner twice on a white base to create a complete frame, then added one stamp of the curly corner.  I white-embossed the scalloped corner on a lime panel and fussy cut it out.  I added the sentiment and two small shamrocks to that piece.  I stamped, cut out and popped up the shamrock in the middle.  Then I popped up the lime piece on the card base and added some rhinestone sequins.

January Whimsy Release, Day 1

Happy New Year!  What better way to start the year than with a Whimsy Stamps release!  All new products are now available in the shop, and we have a few days ahead of us to show you inspiration.

Today I am showing you Shamrock Swirl, yours free this month with a $75 purchase:
I embossed the gorgeous shamrock in white on white cardstock, then used two colors of green distress inks.  I stamped the sentiment in dark green. I took a dark green strip and used Get In Line to stamp a plaid on it.  I also added a few small shamrocks.  I layered everything up on a lime green base.
